Labor is 90% mental and 10% physical which may be the opposite of what you always thought. For this reason it is so important prepare your mind for labor.

Birth Affirmations are probably the simplest way to begin this preparation process. They are simple because there are thousands already out there written so you don’t have to do anything but read/listen to them!

Affirmations are important because they train your mind. The positive messages actually instill confidence and calm. Though it may seem simple or maybe even silly this really can make all the difference in your birth.

If you prefer to listen rather than read, YouTube has lots of videos of birth affirmations being read. Just find one with a voice and message you like. Listen to them on your drive to work, or while you make dinner, as your falling asleep… Don’t even worry if you sleep through most of them being read.
